Second day in Rome.
Well this is a late post. We had a few technical difficulties. First, I forgot about the 220 vs 110 voltage issue. So I could only use my laptop for a short time before the battery drained. Second, I didn't get a SIM card for my Blackberry. So ,no cell phone or text message access. Emails will be checked virtually every day, though. I am now using the ship's WIFI internet access; convenient yet expensive.
Ok, back to the good stuff. We took the bus to the Colloseum and ancient Rome. It was fantastic. We also had a good visit at the St. Angelo Castel. In the evening after a great meal at the restaurante across the street, we went to a church where we listened to some great opera arias. Day two was just wonderful.
